Woman accidentally sends Champagne snap to boss after saying she couldn’t work

A woman was left mortified after she accidentally sent a photo of a huge Champagne bottle to her boss minutes after saying she couldn't work.

Roberta Clark, 20, from Drumchapel in Scotland, was asked to come into work by her manager last week.

However, she sent him a text to tell him she wouldn't be able to make it in to do the job because of bad weather.

This was pretty believable, considering Scotland was being battered with snow and plunging temperatures at the time.

But in actual fact, Roberta, who is an electrician, was actually enjoying herself at a friend's gender reveal party in Cumbernauld.

Moments after she sent the text to tell her boss she wouldn't be able to work Roberta then sent a photo of a bottle of Champagne in an ice bucket, as she wrote: 'Dare me to pop it?'

However, instead of sending it to who she meant to, Roberta accidentally sent it to her boss.

Realising what she had done, Roberta quickly did damage control as she sent another message which read: "I'm so sorry I meant to forward that on to someone else.

"I'm at a baby reveal I'm so sorry was not meant for you."

Luckily for her, Roberta didn't get the sack from her job as a result of her mistake. Her boss simply told her that he'd see her tomorrow.

Roberta's girlfriend Shannon Watson 21, who shared the story online, admitted Roberta was "mortified" over the error.

She said: "After she accidentally messaged him the photo, she got really worried but thankfully he replied saying, 'See you tomorrow!'"
