  • MANCHESTER UNITED have announced the signing of Isak Hansen-Aarøen from Tromsø in Norway.

14-year-old Hansen-Aarøen won't officially sign for United until next summer when he turns 16. The fee is believed to be around £90,000 according to Norwegian newspaper, ITromsø.

Academy prospect, Aidan Barlow has left in the opposite direction on a season-long loan.

Tromso manager, Svein-Morten Johansen said:”We think this is very exciting because we cooperate with a big club and we have already developed a good cooperation, and this has now materialised in that we borrow Barlow”.

  • MIKE McGRATH'Sexclusive on Alexis Sanchez row with Mason Greenwood.

ALEXIS SANCHEZ was FUMING in pre-season after a clash with Mason Greenwood.

The Manchester United forward’s row with his young team-mate is the backdrop to him desperately trying to return to fitness.

Sanchez, 30, was fouled in one of his first sessions after returning from the Copa America with a hamstring injury.

SunSport has been told angry words were exchanged between the pair as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men prepared for the new campaign.

And separately the Chile star also spent time working AWAY from the squad in his bid to return to action and play a part in United’s campaign.

Solskjaer insists Sanchez IS part of his plans despite his dips in form since arriving from Arsenal and his determination to bring young talent through.

Greenwood, 17, came off the bench for United at the weekend in their 4-0 win over Chelsea and is set to spend the season around the first-team squad.

Dan James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have also arrived in the summer and Scott McTominay started against Frank Lampard’s side on Sunday.

But Sanchez has been behind his team-mates in pre-season after going to the Copa America and getting injured in the third-place play-off.

  • Paul Merson claims he was disrespectful for criticising Harry Maguire after his £80 million switch to Manchester United.

The Sky Sports pundit told Soccer Saturday last weekend: “Maguire for £80m is ridiculous at the highest level”.

Following the match on Sunday Merson changed his tune, telling Sky's The Debate:I was a bit disrespectful in that way. He has played in World Cup semi-finals, he is an international and I was out of order and I will be the first to admit that”.

Merson thought Maguire performed well against Chelsea, saying: “I thought he was steady. He's comfortable on the ball, but he will have to defend as time goes on”.

Although Merson thinks Maguire needs to improve he went on to say: ” He did well and he will get better”.

  • JOEL PEREIRA has signed for Scottish Premiership club Hearts on loan for the 2019-2020 season.

The move is subject to international clearance and is his 5th loan move after previously spending time at clubs such as Rochdale and Vitoria Setubal.

The 23-year-old follows in the footsteps of 22-year-old United defender, Demi Mitchell who has been loaned to Hearts twice previously.

  • MANCHESTER UNITED legend, Paul Scholes thinks a combination of Rashford and Martial can “hurt anybody”.

Speaking to Optus Sports the ex Oldham Athletic manager said: “just keep those two, Martial and Rashford towards the left-hand side most of the time and get the ball to those two I think they can hurt anybody”.

Scholes also comapred Anthony Martial's style of play to fellow Frenchman Theirry Henry saying: “I don’t think it’s a bad thing that Martial keeps coming out to the left-hand side. Remember Thierry Henry, he started games at centre-forward, always ended up on the left side somehow. So I don’t think it’s a bad thing, if he [Martial] can be anything like Henry we’d take that now!”

Martial scored during the opening fixture against Chelsea.
