ARSENAL are preparing to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League today.

And on the transfer front, the Gunners are desperate to strengthen at the back by selling Shkodran Mustafi and bringing in a new centre-back.

Follow all the latest Arsenal transfer news, gossip and rumours below…

  • SHKODRAN MUSTAFI has reportedly been offered to Inter.

And the out of favour Arsenal centre-back has been a target for the Italian side before.

Two years ago, the Nerazzurri looked into signing him before opting to take Lisandro Lopez on loan from Benfica instead.

However, FcInterNews. It report that Mustafi could come back into the club's thinking if Diego Godin decides to leave.

The German already has significant experience in Serie A, spending two years at Sampdoria after joining from Everton in 2012.

  • BARCELONA have reportedly hijacked Arsenal’s transfer move for Leipzig star Dayot Upamecano, report talkSPORT.

Upamecano, regarded as one of the finest young defenders in Europe, has been heavily linked with Arsenal in recent weeks after Calum Chambers was ruled out for the rest of the season with a serious knee injury.

However, Arsenal have been dealt a major blow in their pursuit of Upamecano after Barca reportedly identified the youngster as one of their top targets, according to Spanish outlet AS.

Samuel Umtiti looks set for the exit door at the Nou Camp and the Catalan giants believe Upamecano could be the perfect replacement for his compatriot.

  • ASTON VILLA and Norwich have joined the race to land Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah on loan.

Nketiah spent the first half of the season on loan at Leeds but was recalled by the Gunners due to a lack of playing time.

Championship Bristol City were favourites to land the England under-21 ace.

But the Robins fear missing out after Villa earmarked Nketiah as a potential replacement for knee injury victim Wesley.

The Brazilian, signed for a club-record fee in the summer, suffered a horrible ACL injury against Burnley recently.

And Villa are desperately seeking a new forward, with Krzysztof Piatek also having been linked.

Norwich are also in the hunt for a new front-man to ease the burden on top-scorer Teemu Pukki.

And Daniel Farke could turn to Gunners youngster Nketiah.

  • LINCOLN CITY manager Michael Appleton has revealed his plans for Tyreece John-Jules.

He told the club website: “If I said a few clubs were after him, then I'd be under playing it.

“Again, it comes down to the trust that Arsenal have in us as a club and a group to look after him and develop him in the right way.

“Tyreece can be anything, if the loan goes well, we're all touching wood that it does, don't be surprised if you see him playing as Arsenal's number nine at some point in the future.”
