THE January transfer window is in full swing as clubs in the Premier League and around Europe look to replenish their squads this month.

Danny Drinkwater has been recalled by Chelsea and dispatched on loan to Aston Villa while Arsenal and Spurs are both looking for some new defenders.

  • WEST HAM have made a revised offer for Benfica midfielder Gedson Fernandes, according to reports.

    Earlier today, Chelsea launched an 18-month loan bid with a £55m compulsory buyout thereafter.

    But Sky Sports News report that the Hammers are desperate to get their man and have stepped up their approach.

    The Poland striker looks certain to leave the San Siro this month with a host of Prem clubs interested.

    Piatek is keen to move after Milan re-signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic but says he will only join a club of similar size.

    Speaking of his move, Sinclair said: “I am so delighted to get the deal done.

    “I have been waiting to finally get down here to sign and I can’t wait to get started and to finally meet the lads.

    “I spoke to the manager before I came and he spoke about training, about the tactics and I like where the club is heading – he persuaded me to come and I am so happy.

    “I have had a fantastic three-and-half-years with Celtic, we did the treble-treble, I got the PFA player of the year, scored goals and was top goalscorer, but now it is a new chapter for me.

    “I am coming here to improve and to help the team push for promotion.”
