After a dramatic night in the Maracana, Tite's side can finally remove that crushing feeling of expectation and celebrate.
Gabriel Jesus had an eventful night – the City star laid on the opener, scored just before the break, got sent off in the second half and then decided to fight the VAR equipment.
Goals from Everton, Jesus and Richarlison sealed the deal for Brazil, who were rattled by Guerrero's penalty late in an action-packed opening 45 minutes.
But as well as Peru played, they just didn't have that quality in the final third to make their man advantage count when it mattered – and Richarlison came off the bench to seal it with a late spot-kick.
