Darts fans joke silence for the marker after incredible Q School 73-dart leg

Darts fans have joked 'silence for the maker' after an incredible 73-leg of darts between the Swiss Marc Inhaler and the German Justin Frerichs at Q-School.

Frerichs stepped up to the Oche on 10, and needed a double five to win, but after squandering his chance the German was left on three.

The German then stepped up to the oche a further twelve times, but busted out each time.

Inhaler, meanwhile, also struggled at the oche, and he finished the game off with an average three dart score of 20.59, while Frerichs finished on 20.75.

And darts fans have joked about the 'classic' on social media.

One fan tweeted: "One moment of silence for the marker…"

"So anyone can turn up then for the laugh yeah," a second joked after seeing the scorecard.

A third added: "Pay £500 and you too can be a darts pro for a day (and see your 73 darter across the internet)."

While a fourth cheekily added, in reference to the infamous Ted Hanky clip: "The devil might be in charge there."
