Dillion Danis says KSI fight 'won't happen' as DAZN are trying to make 'weird things' in contract TWO weeks before bout | The Sun

DILLION DANIS has claimed his showdown with KSI likely "won't happen" – just TWO WEEKS before fight night.

The pair are set to collide in a DAZN-promoted punch-up at Wembley Arena a fortnight on Saturday.

But MMA star Danis has suggested last-minute contract changes and a rehydration clause could scupper the clash.

He told Chael Sonnen: "I don't know when this is going to come up, but I feel like this fight won't happen.

"I think that they're starting to get scared of people, even you, saying I was going to win.

"And they're trying to make weird things in the contract now two weeks before. I feel like they're looking for a way out."

Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Danis has accused DAZN of trying to stack the deck against him with "stupid rules."

He said: "It's not a professional fight so they're trying to do everything handicapped for me. And I'm not going to settle for that."

KSI's manager – Mams Taylor – was quick to slam Danis' claims, tweeting: "Here are the facts.

"Hate that I have to come with receipts again but here we go.

"1 -Danis signed a contract (binding short form) over 2 months ago.

"2 – The contracted weight was 177.5lb with a rehydration clause limit of 185lb.

"3 – We tried 170 and he said that was too light so neither Dillon or his team objected to the rehydration clause until now.

"4 -If Dillon had an issue with this he should have brought it up and not signed the contract (2 months ago).

"Then either we would have figured out different terms or gone with a different opponent.

"To make out that we are being shady and throwing this in last minute is just messed up considering he has been treated with nothing but respect and courtesy."

Should the fight fall through, Danis plans to compete at Bellator 290 in February.

He said: "If it does happen, I don't wait for nobody.

"I would jump on that Bellator card, I think it's March 2 or March 3, Fedor and Ryan Bader.I'll just keep moving.

"Whatever happens, happens. I don't wait for nobody. I just need myself."
