Ex-Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to be guest on The Graham Norton Show alongside Samuel L Jackson and Dawn French

FORMER Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will be a guest on The Graham Norton Show alongside Samuel L Jackson and Dawn French.

Wenger, 70, will appear on October 16 as one of a mixed bag of guests.

Heat magazine's Boyd Hilton broke the news on Twitter, and joked Hollywood royalty Jackson would ask Wenger about his departure from Arsenal.

He said: "Samuel L Jackson, who I fully expect to ask Mr Wenger if he regrets not leaving Arsenal on a high after the FA Cup win in 2015…"

Wenger is set to share the famous sofa with ex-England cricket hero and Top Gear host Freddie Flintoff as well as comedian French.

Musician Michael Kiwanuka completes the star-studded and diverse line-up.

The show will be a mixture of in-studio interviews and video chats so Wenger is likely to be deprived of the chance to hang out with Jackson in person.

Wenger was in charge of the Gunners for 22 years between 1996 and 2018.

The French manager won three Premier League titles and a record seven FA Cups during his tenure.

But he is probably best remembered for leading the 'Invincibles' side to the 2003-04 Prem title undefeated.

Since leaving Arsenal, Wenger landed a job with Fifa in 2019 as head of global football development.

He has been linked with a return to management and the Holland job after Ronald Koeman left to join Barcelona.

New Arsenal signing Runar Alex Runarsson deleted tweets insulting Wenger as a 'French f***' after the Icelandic keeper joined for £1.5million this month.
