How Thomas Partey compares to Arsenal's other midfielders with new £45m signing destroying them in EVERY stat

THOMAS PARTEY is better than all of Arsenal's other midfielders in EVERY category, according to the stats.

The Gunners completed a last-gasp £45million swoop for the former Atletico Madrid star on deadline day.

And Partey could be just what the doctor ordered for Mikel Arteta.

Incredibly, the Ghanaian beating every other current Arsenal midfielder statistically since the start of the 2018-19 season.

In that time, Partey has three times as many goals as any other Gunners star.

Partey has netted three times, with Granit Xhaka, Joe Willock and Mohamed Elneny scoring one apiece and Dani Ceballos failing to bag.

The ex-Atleti star has also made the most successful tackles with 76.

Ceballos has the next-highest tally with 50.

Partey lead the way in terms of interceptions (44) and recoveries (240) by some distance too.

And the Gunners new boy has also won the most duels (241) by a country mile, too.

But it's not just off the ball where Partey shows his class.

As well as scoring the most of all Arsenal midfielders, Partey has also been the most creative, with 64 successful dribbles.

No other midfielder on the Emirates books has more than 34.

While signing Partey is great news for Arsenal, they have done their relationship with Atletico Madrid 'irreparable' damage, say reports.

Atletico revealed the paperwork was completed at 10.28pm BST, just over half an hour before the deadline.

And The Athletic claimed the Spanish club were left reeling at the lack of notice from Arsenal.

The report also stated Arsenal told LaLiga of their intention to meet Partey's release clause – NOT Atletico.

Meanwhile, former Ghana boss Avram Grant has described Partey as the 'perfect signing' for Arsenal.
