Lewis Hamilton pays tribute to Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman as he claims pole for Belgian GP

LEWIS HAMILTON has claimed pole position for tomorrow's Belgian Grand Prix, after setting a track record.

The Brit finished a whopping 0.511 seconds quicker than team-mate Valtteri Bottas.

And he dedicated his performance to actor Chadwick Boseman, who tragically passed away this morning.

Hamilton, 35, told Sky Sports: "Today, a very clean session. Every lap was getting better and better.

"It's a very important pole to me – I woke up to the saddest news of Chadwick passing away.

"It's been such a heavy year for all of us. But that news broke me."

Max Verstappen claimed third in his Red Bull.

While Daniel Ricciardo took fourth under the drizzle in Stavelot – his best ever qualifying performance at Spa.
