The Premier League side are still chasing their first-ever European Cup having won everything else in recent years.

Los Blancos, on the other hand, are seasoned veterans when it comes to lifting the famous trophy, having won it a record 13 times.

The LaLiga leaders showed all of their grit and determination as they launched a sensational comeback to KO Chelsea in the quarter-finals.

Man City battled past Real's neighbours, Atletico Madrid, in a bruising two-legged tie – running out 1-0 victors.

Ahead of Tuesday's star-studded showdown, SunSport has put together a best of the best combined XI.

But who makes the team?

First of all, the first-leg looks set to be missing a cluster of defensive stars on both teams – leaving fans licking their lips at the prospect of goals galore.

For City, Joao Cancelo is suspended with Kyle Walker and John Stones in a race against time to be fit for the game.

Real Madrid have question marks over Ferland Mendy, Marcelo and David Alaba – but will welcome Eder Militao back from suspension.

Militao makes our combined XI, along with Aymeric Laporte, Dani Carvajal and Ruben Dias ahead of Ederson, who edges Thibaut Courtois to the No1 spot in our team.

In midfield, Kevin De Bruyne is a nailed-on starter – but the other two spots are very much up for grabs.

Casemiro and Rodri would both fight for a spot in the deeper of the three roles, while Toni Kroos and Ilkay Gundogan would warrant a spot in most teams on the planet.

But the sensational form of Bernardo Silva and Luka Modric – fresh from his outrageous assist to down to Chelsea – means they can't be overlooked and make our XI.

In attack, both teams have a wealth of options, with the likes of Eden Hazard, Raheem Sterling, Marco Asensio, Phil Foden, Rodrygo, Jack Grealish and Gabriel Jesus – who scored FOUR against Watford at the weekend – not making the cut.
