Manchester United might not have been in action this weekend – but they're certainly busy in the transfer market.

Jadon Sancho remains the hot topic around Old Trafford, but a move for the Dortmund youngster could be in jeopardy as BVB are unwilling to budge on their £108million asking price.

As a result, reports suggest that the Red Devils could turn their attention to Gareth Bale instead.

United have retained an interest in Bale for some time but were put off by his £600,000 a week wages, however with Madrid reportedly willing to pay up to half of his wages a sensational move back to the Premier League could be on.

The Daily Star claim Solskjaer thinks that Bale would be a great plan b if they fail to land Sancho, the Welshman is desperate to quit Madrid after being frozen out.

It is believed United would rather take Bale on loan rather than a permanent transfer.

Meanwhile, Mason Greenwood was at Carrington today for a one-hour visit after his hippy crack and hotel romp shame.

The Red Devils and England forward, 18, drove into the Utd training facility in his navy Mercedes wearing a long-sleeve top.

But around 55 minutes later he was on his way out again, in just a United Adidas training t-shirt.

Greenwood was told on Thursday when he returned to United following his Iceland embarrassment he must train alone for a few days.

And finally, United have reportedly been told that it will cost as much as £50m to buy Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks.

Brooks is seen by the Reds as a possible alternative to Sancho and Jack Grealish, but according to the Daily Star Bournemouth would demand a sizable fee for the 23-year-old.
