Who will be the star men?
Newcastle: Alexander Isak
The striker hit the net twice in the thrashing of Villa.
And after drawing a blank against City, the Swede is due a goal this weekend.
Liverpool: Luis Diaz
Looks better than ever after last season's injury problems.
Diaz has scored in both of Liverpool's games so far and will be desperate to keep his run going.
What have the managers said:
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe: "I have a huge amount of respect for Jurgen and his coaching team. If you love football, I don't think you cannot have that respect, but we're competing against each other so you're fighting for everything. You're fighting for every point.
"These games are iconic – Newcastle vs Liverpool battles. Last year we were disappointed with the two defeats. The last minute of that Anfield game has replayed in my mind many times.
"The game at home was also painful in a different way. It was a day we didn't start very well but we played well with ten men.
"I respect Jurgen a lot, I think he’s done an unbelievable job, he’s an unbelievable manager, but I draw the line at friendships because they don’t exist for me against competitors."
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp: "An away game at Newcastle and they are an incredibly strong team, super development under Howe, smart business.
"Two standouts are Tonali and Barnes, really good. Super intense style. Massive atmosphere, so this is a tough one."
"They are in the Champions League very deservedly."
