Piers Morgan slams Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta and says 'he's just not good enough'

PIERS MORGAN has slammed Mikel Arteta in the wake of Arsenal’s 4-0 loss at Liverpool, claiming the Spaniard is ‘not good enough’ to manage his beloved club.

The Gunners were hopeful of a first win at Anfield in nine years after going unbeaten in their last 10 matches.

And Arsenal held their own for the first 40 minutes of the match.

But Sadio Mane broke their resistance shortly before the break.

And the floodgates opened in the second half, with goals from Diogo Jota, Mo Salah and Takumi Minamino sealing the result.

Despite losing heavily, Arsenal are fifth in the Premier League table and just three points off a Champions League spot.

But media personality Morgan was still left fuming at the final whistle.

And he took to Twitter to vent at Arsenal’s lacklustre display while also condemning Arteta.

Morgan moaned that the tactician has been ‘humiliated’ in all his games against ‘good’ Premier League sides.

And after spending £150million on new signings over the summer, Arteta is still ‘not good enough’ to manage a club the size of Arsenal.

Morgan tweeted: “Arteta’s been in charge for over 100 games, he spent £150m on players this summer, and we’ve been humiliated by every good Premier League side this season.

“He’s just not good enough for Arsenal, sorry. #ArtetaOUT.”

Morgan's comments came after Arteta was involved in a raging touchline bust-up with Jurgen Klopp.

Both managers were shown yellow cards for their roles in the fracas, which started when Arteta reacted angrily to a foul on Takehiro Tomiyasu by Sadio Mane.
