Roman Reigns gives fresh update on WWE return as he opens up on training routine and his family – The Sun
ROMAN REIGNS fuelled speculation surrounding his WWE return as he admitted he is ready to "smash people".
The Big Dog has been out of action since mid-March in order to protect himself, his wife and children from coronavirus.
Reigns pulled out of his fight against Goldberg for the Universal Title at WrestleMania in March.
The 35-year-old, who has battled leukemia twice, believed competing was too much of a risk.
But the WWE star admitted he has been knuckling down during lockdown ahead of his return.
During an interview with Metroplus, he said: "I'm ready to smash people if you know what I mean.
"I've been training my butt off during this pandemic."
Reigns, real name Joe Anoa'I, has vowed to get back to the top where he belongs.
He added: "I am gonna get in there and compete at the highest level… hopefully for a title.
"More specifically, the Universal Championship.
"If not, I will be there to prove that I'm not just the top of the mountain, but I am the mountain.
"I am WWE's biggest star, regardless of if I am on the show or not. I have everything to prove and everything to lose as well."
Reigns has also lifted the lid on his decision to take a step back from the sport during the pandemic.
He said: "For me, I just had to make a choice for my family. [WWE] has done everything that they can do to make it the safest work environment possible.
"It is not the workplace that I was necessarily concerned about. The decision was taken mainly because each performer travels so much, and we are all such a diverse group and from all over the place.
We know that it is tough for all kids right now having to stay home and not see their friends. This is even more so for children with cancer, like leukemia survivor, King. @LLSUSA and I encourage you all to hang in there. Stay home, stay safe, work hard and study. LLS is here to help cancer survivors, patients and caregivers. Learn more about LLS’s resources during these difficult times in the link in my bio.

"I'm not convinced, and I can't trust the fact that everybody is taking it as seriously and locking themselves down at home like I am.
"I trust my life with co-workers every time I step foot in the ring, but I just can't put the same trust when it has my children, my wife and my family involved."
It was revealed earlier this year that his partner Galina Becker is pregnant with their second set of twins.
