Watch Jesse Marsch's final interview as Leeds manager that left fans fuming before sacking | The Sun
LEEDS fans were fuming at Jesse Marsch's final interview as manager of the club.
The American faced the press after his side's 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground and left supporters less than impressed with his comments on the game.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Marsch admitted that he thought Leeds were unlucky to go behind as Brennan Johnson's goal came from Forest's "only time in down the pitch in the first half".
He also insisted that he "had to get more out of the group and make sure that when they are on top of games that they don't lose them".
Marsch also defended his "young team" as he admitted that they "have to accept that mistakes" will happen.
But fans were fed up with "hearing the same excuses" from the manager and took to social media in response.

One tweeted: "I’m bored of hearing the same thing each week now, better team and unlucky with the result, there’s a reason we keep dropping points.
"And it will see us struggling to avoid the drop all season."
A second commented: "Same excuses, different game. Getting tiresome now."
A third wrote: "I’m Leeds until I die. I’ve never criticised a Manager until now. We have a great squad of players (some out on loan).

A sixth added: "Been willing to give him a chance but the same excuses every week are starting to wear thin… not sure what the progress is that he's seeing."
Leeds confirmed his departure from the club along with his backroom staff members Rene Maric, Cameron Toshack and Pierre Barrieu.
The club posted the statement: "We would like to thank Jesse and his backroom staff for their efforts and wish them well for the future.
"The process of appointing a new head coach is underway and we will continue to keep supporters up to date throughout the coming days."
