Will Andorra vs England be cancelled after stadium fire?
The Three Lions are due to play Andorra on Saturday, October 9 as they look to get back to winning ways.
But the game is in doubt following the large fire which broke out at the ground on Friday afternoon.
Onlookers were stunned as the flames engulfed the TV gantry at the Estadi Nacional in the capital Andorra la Vella.
As of yet, it is not confirmed if the fire has interfered with the field of play or the artificial pitch at the stadium.
There are no reports of any injuries, but it is not known if the heat from the blaze has damaged the plastic surface of the field.
Emergency services responded quickly to the blaze – putting it out in a matter of minutes – but not before substantial damage was caused.
Currently there is no indication that the match has been postponed but keep with us here on SunSport for any further developments.
