BBC Breakfast viewers were surprised to see Nina Warhurst missing from the red sofa during the latest instalment of the beloved morning news show.
On Sunday (April 10), Luxmy Gopal woke up the nation alongside regular host Ben Thompson as they discussed the latest headlines in the news this weekend.
The 41-year-old broadcaster usually teams up with her fellow presenter to host the morning programme on Sunday mornings.
Dan Walker and Sally Nugent host the breakfast show from Monday to Wednesday while Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty take over the reins from Thursday through to Saturday.
Although the TV presenter is yet to explain her absence from the early morning show, she's not the only famous face who was missing from the show this week.
In a major TV shake-up Naga Munchetty was noticeable missing from the famous red sofa all week as co-star Rachel Burden stepped in for the brunette beauty alongside Charlie Stayt.
But it appears as though the popular BBC One show is going through a series of changes after Dan Walker announced he was leaving the show after six years on the programme.
While an official date hasn't been announced, the Strictly Come Dancing star confirmed the news as he explained how he would be making the transition over to 5 News on Channel 5.
In a short clip, the dad-of-three confessed he would be leaving BBC Breakfast "in the next few weeks" to his loyal legion of fans on Instagram.
He said: "Hello, Dan Walker here. I have a little bit of news for you. In the next few weeks I'm going to be leaving BBC Breakfast and moving to 5 News and to Channel 5.
"I'm really excited but this has also been a massive decision for me because I love BBC Breakfast. I love working alongside Sally and I love the team there."
