Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle confirmed to compete on champions spin-off

Britain's Got Talent's long-awaited champions show has officially been confirmed – and Susan Boyle will be leading the returning stars.

Winners, finalists and other successful contestants from the series across the world are being contacted by show execs to go on BGT: The Champions.

Ant McPartlin confirmed that the series will be on our screens very soon after Sunday night's live finale.

After Michael Ball performed with BGT alum Susan Boyle, Ant confirmed that she would be one of the big names returning for the show.

He said: "Susan is just one of the amazing acts who will be appearing on a very special show coming later in the year: Britain's Got Talent: The Champions.

"Yes, where the finest acts from the last 13 years of BGT will compete against some of the best acts from around the world to find the ultimate champion.

"We can't wait for that."

Ant also confirmed that he and Dec will return as presenters.

The spin-off has already caused controversy after the Mirror revealed that contestants won't be paid for appearing .

They will receive living expenses, a decision that has ruffled a few feathers as many of the acts are now established in their own right and world famous.

Colin Thackery won Britain's Got Talent  tonight after the Chelsea Pensioner left viewers in tears with his performance of Love Changes Everything from the musical Aspects of Love.
