Celebrity MasterChef will instead continue to air later this week as the BBC air the second part of BBC One’s Vigil and 9/11 documentary Inside the President’s War room. This year’s line-up includes TV presenter Melanie Sykes and EastEnders actress Rita Simmonds to name a few. As usual, Greg Wallace and John Torode have been judging the culinary skills and delights the celebrities were serving up in the kitchen. But as the competition heats up, viewers will be forced to wait for the next instalment.

The series has been airing on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, but due to the changes in TV scheduling, Celebrity MasterChef will be airing on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at the usual time of 9pm this week.

The celebrity-based cooking show is being rescheduled due to the airing of BBC One’s Drama Vigil, based on the mysterious disappearance of a Scottish fishing trawler.

With a death on board a Trident nuclear submarine, the police are brought into conflict with the Navy and British security services.

The second show replacing Celebrity MasterChef on Tuesday is BBC One’s two-part documentary which shows 12 hours with the president on 9/11.

The documentary shows the direct testimony from President Bush, Vice-President Cheney, and senior staff as it changed them, American and the world.

So far, MasterChef has seen celebrities Munya Chawawa, comedian Nabil Abdulrashid and Katie Price bid their farewell as the remaining contestants prepare to enter the semi-finals.

Homes Under the Hammer presenter Dion Dublin recently spoken about his time on the series revealing John advised him against something he’d already done.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the presenter recalled: “John gave me one word which I’ve taken away, John gave me one word and it was preparation.

“Gregg used to come out and just eat food – if he liked it. And Gregg would tell you a couple of jokes and keep you laughing.

“John would do the interviews and Gregg’s making you laugh and John’s telling you how to cook and ‘Don’t do that, don’t do this’ and I’m saying ‘No John, I’ve done it already!’

“He would say ‘Okay, no problem, you shouldn’t have done that’. They’re good, they’re a good team.”

Last week, viewers saw Dion break down in tears after receiving tremendous feedback on his second challenge dish.

Dion served a mint coriander and chilli spiced lemon sole on a coconut dahl with a tomato and tamarind dressing,

Guest chef Sabrina Gidaa exclaimed: “Oh yeah! You absolutely smashed it,” with John adding: “Delicious!”

Gregg added: “If you all wouldn’t mind looking the other way, I might actually finish it.”

Feeling overwhelmed with the feedback, Dion broke down in tears, talking to the camera: “I got emotional because I didn’t expect that kind of feedback, it’s quite overwhelming.”

His final dish also made an impression on the judges, which landed him a place in the next round of the competition.

However, it wasn’t good news for everyone as it was the end of Melissa Johns journey on the show after putting up two amazing dishes.

Celebrity MasterChef continues Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
