Corrie: Amy launches ‘sex offender’ protest outside of school

A protest against sexual harassment in scenes yet to air on Coronation Street will be led by Amy Barlow.

In fresh snaps taken on the set of the much-loved ITV soap, Amy (Elle Mulvaney) heads up a protest at Weatherfield High.

In some of the shots, the teen covers a wall on the grounds of her school in graffiti, writing: “Stop protecting sex offenders”.

As gobsmacked students, including pals Asha and Aadi Halahan, look on, Weatherfield High’s head teacher shows up and she’s determined to stop Amy in her tracks.

After the head teacher demands to know what’s going on, Amy defiantly shoves mobile phone evidence in her face.

Stacey Slater and Eve Unwin make horrifying mistake with teen Kioni

EASTENDERS’ Stacey Slater and newbie Eve Unwin embarrass themselves in the cafe this week after they make a horrifying mistake with Kioni Marwa.

The BBC One soap kicks off on December 10th in the cafe when viewers will witness Stacey (played by Lacey Turner) and Eve (Heather Peace) make a grand public error.

Stacey and Eve, who the mum met while in prison, find themselves in a spot of bother when they startle Kioni (Florisa Kamara).

In the café on EastEnders, Eve and Stacey do a good job of shocking Kioni by telling her all about the horrors of prison life.

Later, Mila Marwa (Ruhtxjiaïh Bèllènéa) storms over to them angry that Kioni is now upset about what their mum Nyangi (Lucy Vandi) may go through.

Eve is apologetic and explains they thought they were doing a wayward teen a favour, and she leaves Mila mulling over whether she should let Kioni visit her mum.

Mila was forced to get her mum arrested to save her sister Kioni from undergoing female genital mutilation (FGM).

Corrie’s Rebecca Ryan has a real life brother already on the soap

CORONATION Street newbie Rebecca Ryan is joining her sibling on the iconic Weatherfield set.

The former Shameless actress, 30, who has also starred in Waterloo Road, will step foot on the Cobbles as Lydia next week. Yet joining Coronation Street‘s stellar cast might not be as daunting for her as it is for most, as her brother Jack James Ryan will be on hand for tips.

ITV viewers will recognise the actor for his role as bad boy Jacob Hay – a character who was instrumental in getting Simon Barlow involved in a drugs ring.

Meanwhile soap bosses have confirmed Lydia will cause “damage” of a different kind when she strikes up a friendship with Sarah-Lou Platt.

A spokesperson said: “After the dramatic events of 2021 you would think the residents of Britain’s favourite street would be looking for a quieter start to 2022, but although the storm clouds gathering this time are metaphorical, there may be just as much damage.

“Sarah and Adam are hoping to cement their relationship by starting a family, but when Sarah’s new friend Lydia turns out to be someone from Adam’s past, could all Sarah’s dreams turn to nightmares?”

What will Simon Lennon do now?

This remains to be seen, as Simon hasn’t revealed his next move.

However, we doubt he will be short of work as he has many acting credits under his belt.

Before Emmerdale he appeared alongside former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan in BBC’s Our Girl.

He has also starred in ITV’ smash hit show Grantchester.

    Continued…

“But it’s been amazing,” he continued before talking about what it has been like to star alongside some of his colleagues.

Simon said: “On any television or film set, you spend 13-14 hours a day with the same people from the first thing in the morning until the last thing at night.

“And then you go home, go to bed and do the same thing the next day. So it is a very tight nit and it is a cliche but you do have a family on every job you’re doing.”

Why is Simon Lennon aka Ben Tucker leaving Emmerdale?

Simon’s character Ben was killed off at the end of November 25, 2021 hour-long episode of Emmerdale as Meena Jutla (played by Paige Sandhu) claimed her third victim.

She murdered him after he’d stumbled across evidence that could have incriminated her.

With regards to why Simon has left, this has not been confirmed.

It is so likely the ending of Ben’s storyline would have coincided with the end of his contract.

Mandy won’t disappear from Hollyoaks until next year

Because scenes are filmed ahead of time, Mandy won’t disappear from screens until early next year.

Sarah Jayne left the soap after bosses gave her an ultimatum over her presence on OnlyFans.

But she chose to remain on the site because it “gave her control” and boosted her income.

After the announcement, she gained 11,000 new followers in one day, which would have brought in an estimated €114,000.

Mum-of-three Sarah Jayne said at the time: “I’m simply moving my racier images to another platform.

“This is a decision I’ve thought long and hard about.

This is about taking control of your own images, your own choices and what you want to do with your body.”

    Emmerdale Meena Jutla's new low

EMMERDALE fans were left disgusted after Meena Jutla sunk to a new low with Ben Tucker's dead body during tonight's episode.

The evil nurse – played by Paige Sandhu in the ITV soap – brutally killed the canoe instructor last week.

Last week Ben (Simon Lennon) found crucial evidence that showed Meena trying to drown Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins).

So she took matters into her own hands and battered him to death with a canoe paddle so he could never tell anyone the truth.

Dawn Taylor was the person who found Ben's body and the receptionist has been struggling to come to terms with it all.

Dawn tried to fight back the tears as she confessed: "I can't… just seeing him there with all that blood, it's brought up a lot of stuff."

Fans of the hit soap were left disgusted that Meena was trying to get Dawn to describe to her what she saw at the murder scene.

    One wrote: "Sick b**ch."

A second said: "Meena is vile."

Strictly: The Real Full Monty – EastEnders' Laila Morse forced to strip naked in a wheelchair

The EastEnders star was so determined to go through with the routine despite injuring her ankle hours just before that she peeled off on stage in a specially decorated wheelchair.

The actress — Albert Square’s no-nonsense “Big Mo” Harris — had refused to give up her place in the Strictly-themed show, fronted by Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo.

Laila — who at 76 is the oldest person to ever appear in the Full Monty show — revealed: “I sprained my ankle the morning before we filmed it. I went over on it during the final rehearsal, so I couldn’t do the dancing.

“I couldn’t really stand on it, so Ashley said I couldn’t take part. I said ‘But that’s what I’ve come to do. I’ll find some way to get on that stage’. So they came up with the idea of a wheelchair and decorated it with sparkly stuff. So I went on stage, I just couldn’t dance.

“When it came to the strip I sat there in my outfit with my feathers in the wheelchair and took my top off!”

Laila was joined on stage by Strictly professionals James and Ola Jordan, Blue frontman Duncan James and Christine McGuinness. Reality stars Demi Jones and Teddy Soares, Loose Women’s Brenda Edwards and Coleen Nolan, property show host Martin Roberts and Olympian Colin Jackson completed the line-up.

In the end, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) stepped in to call the police on the pair's mother and she is now facing jail time.

Mila has since taken steps to become Kioni's guardian.

    Dark times ahead for Emmerdale

ITV boss Kevin Lygo has already teased new winter storylines leading up to Christmas, hinting that Dawn will have to watch her back with Meena still on the prowl.

Meanwhile actress Paige Sandhu has hinted the serial killer could die in the soap's dramatic Survival Week.

Fans are now convinced they have spotted her next victim – after she beat Ben to death with a canoe paddle.

She offered to take dog Princess off Wendy's hands after she gave her a home following Andrea's death.

Emmerdale's Wendy Posner makes BIG mistake

EMMERDALE fans were left fuming after Wendy Posner made a huge error of judgement over Meena Jutla.

Viewers of the ITV soap have already seen the nurse's reign of terror claim three victims in the Dales.

Yet in Monday's episode it appeared there was no bad blood between the co-workers and, in fact, Wendy was warming to the serial killer.

Fans were quick to take to Twitter and flag what they saw as a glaring anomaly – with Meena being the one who killed Ben – as one wrote: "Meena has a heart but it isn’t a heart of gold as Whiny Wendy said."

Another posted: "No Wendy Meena really hasn’t got a heart of gold!" as a third commented: "Meena has a heart but its not made of gold Wendy you muppet."

Another wrote: “Meena's got a heart of gold, it's probably a pendant that she stole from one of her victims….. #emmerdale.”

A soap fan then surmised: “Ok I know no one knows everything Meena is done but why does Wendy think that Meena has a ‘heart of gold’ when she is rude to literally everyone #emmerdale.”

"But it's been amazing," he continued before talking about what it has been like to star alongside some of his colleagues.

Simon said: "On any television or film set, you spend 13-14 hours a day with the same people from the first thing in the morning until the last thing at night.
