Coronation Streets Rosie Webster to return as a mum
Helen Flanagan talks Corrie return and future plans for Rosie
Helen Flanagan, who famously played Rosie Webster on Coronation Street, has revealed if she were to return to the ITV soap, she would love to see her character take on a new role, that of a mum.
Speaking on Friday’s episode of Loose Women, Helen joined the panel to talk about her upcoming appearance on I’m A Celebrity… South Africa, which is set to hit TV screens on Monday.
But she also spoke briefly about the role that made her famous.
Loose Women panellist, Jane Moore, asked: “You were going to go back to Corrie at one point and then you got pregnant?”

“Yes,” Helen replied as she referenced the last time Rosie appeared on screens in 2018 when she had just returned for a year following a five year break.
During this time off-screen, Helen and her then partner, Scott Sinclair, had two children, with a third being born in 2021.
“We actually tried to time it,” Helen announced. “I was speaking to the producer and I had hyperemesis and I was really poorly in my pregnancy with hyperemesis – it was awful.”
“Which means you get sick all the time, doesn’t it?” asked panellist Linda Robson.
“Oh, yeah, awful,” Helen explained. “We tried to time it because I wanted, I don’t know why but I would love Rosie to be a mum.
“I would love to come back at some point and kind of play that. I think that would be great, especially with Sally being a grandma. I’d like to do that.”
Could Rosie make a comeback to the cobbles soon with a son or daughter in tow?
Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV.
