Coronation Street's Curtis Delamere has been confirmed as a liar after claiming he has a terminal heart condition which could leave him dead at any moment.
But he could take things a step further, as fans reckon he's in cahoots with undertaker Todd Grimshaw in order to swindle money from vulnerable people.
During Monday's first visit to the cobbles, Curtis was chatting to Emma about tackling the Three Peaks Challenge in order to raise money for the late Oliver's fund.
Todd was also in the Bistro, and overheard the pair discussing his bucket list – and immediately approached Curtis about organising a funeral plan to take care of the future without additional worry.
Later, a member of Curtis' medical support group popped in to help him with his challenge – and Todd quickly approached her, armed with a stack of business cards.
Todd hilariously called Curtis 'Caspar' during their first chat – having overheard him talking about his condition and zeroing in on the money making opportunity, despite never having spoken to him before.
But could he actually be working with Curtis to swindle money out of the group, with Curtis acting as a mole?
Some fans certainly seem to think so, as one penned on Twitter: "Todd hustling to get that terminal illness support group cash is just…"
Another suggested: "Maybe [Curtis] is in cahoots with Todd? Still doesn't make him interesting though!"
"Nice one Todd – buy now, die later," someone else chimed in, as a fourth fan joked: "I hope that Todd handing out business cards to anyone in #Corrie with an illness becomes a regular thing!"
"Todd GRIMshaw! I can see why you fit that name rather well sir. Chomping for that terminal illness money!" another shocked fan echoed.
However, other fans were certain Todd will finally be the one to rumble Curtis' lies, as one tweeted: "Corrie prediction – Todd finds out Curtis has been lying + probably blackmails or exposes him as a redemption arc and then him and Sarah have scenes together during her Christmas storyline."
"It's Todd that's going to rumble Curtis!" another predicted.
As someone else theorised: "Todd's going to suss him. He's king of the liars! #Corrie."
Curtis' lies may have been revealed to ITV viewers watching at home, but his family remain oblivious – despite Curtis' fury at Emma when she attempted to get in touch with his family.
The pair are set to wed in the coming weeks – but if Emma discovers the truth, will she stand by her man, or could it be another doomed Coronation Street wedding?
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 7:30pm.
