Doctor Who wipes social media channels ahead of series 13 launch

Doctor Who series 13 could be on its way very soon, after fans noticed something strange going on with the show’s social media.

The BBC programme’s official Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook pages have all been completely wiped.

Fans searching for the Twitter account are told: ‘This account doesn’t exist’ while on YouTube, the channel still exists but a note reads: ‘This channel doesn’t have any content.’

On Instagram, an error message reads: ‘Sorry, this page isn’t available.’

The last tweets before everything was wiped were simply referencing a teaser that has been doing the rounds on BBC channels.

A glitch would appear on screen, with Jodie Whittaker’s 13th Doctor asking: ‘Can you hear me?’

Safe to say, fans are unnerved, with one writing: ‘The official doctor who account is GONE what do we do now? we’ve been abandoned i’m so lost and confused.’

‘Wondering what the @bbcdoctorwho social media accounts are up to Hopefully we will be getting both a new trailer and release date soon! #DoctorWho,’ another pointed out.

One more said: ‘Seriously I put my phone down for an hour and @bbcdoctorwho falls into a crack in time.’
