Actress Ellie Dadd is making a name for herself in the soap world as she portrays troubled teen Amy Mitchell on Eastenders.

Ellie has been playing the role of Amy Mitchell since 2022, taking over from the previous actress Abbie Burke, who had played the character since 2014.

But fans were stunned to learn that actress Ellie Dadd, who plays the troubled teenage character on the hit BBC soap opera, recently turned 18, leaving fans stunned to learn that she is older than her on-screen persona by three to four years.

One fan commented on her Instagram post in shock, gushing: "Happy Birthday wow the big 18. Still see you as young Amy in EastEnders your a fantastic actress."

Another fan added: "wow wouldn’t have thought that xx," as a third exclaimed, "Same that’s crazy."

She wore her blonde locks in curls and posed up a storm for the camera as she showed off her enviable figure.

Fans of the BBC One soap were also quick to praise Ellie for both her amazing performance in EastEnders and gorgeous off-screen style, with one writing: "You’ve been incredible this week in EastEnders you’re absolutely smashing it playing Amy."

Co-star Bond

It’s clear the star has had no trouble bonding with her Walford co-stars as she recently attended pal Jacqueline Jossa's lavish birthday bash in November.

Ellie looked sensational as she rocked a champagne-hued silk gown.

Sitting on a huge throne-like chair, she posed like a queen and captioned her snap, "Partying the night away."
