EastEnders fans gobsmacked as Peter teams up with Kheerat in dark Ian twist
EastEnders viewers were left with their mouths on the floor on Friday as the investigation into who attacked Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) took an unexpected turn.
Several residents of Albert Square have been acting shady in the wake of the frenzied attack with many having a motive to want Walford businessman dead.
Attention turned to Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol) during the latest episode of the BBC soap and things got interesting as he secretly met up with Ian's son Peter Beale (Dayle Hudson) to discuss the night of the attack.
Viewers at home were gobsmacked at their pair's unlikely alliance, with some questioning how the long the pair have been friends.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Woah stop the bus…Peter and Kheerat? What's been going on here then."
A second person wrote: "Peter and Kheerat? Now I’m even more confused I honestly thought it was Bobby."
Another added: "I honestly don’t know what on Earth is going on anymore. Peter Beale and Kheerat Panesar doing something together? Someone make it make sense."
A fourth said: "What I don't understand is why does Kheerat want to bring down Ian? What is the beef? Is he teaming up with Peter to do the deed for Suki? Or perhaps Suki teamed them up?
While some fans are convinced that Peter and Khareet could become the latest hot new couple on the Sqaure.
One Eastenders fan predicted: "Peter and Kheerat are the next Ballum."
Another guessed: "Next gay couple. Peter and Kheerat?"
Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) discovered that traces of blood had been found inside a hire van, and samples of said blood were sent off to forensics in order to find out if it was Ian’s.
Given that the hire van was allegedly used by Kheerat on the night of the attack, Jack wasted little time in quizzing him.
Kheerat was left shaken after his chat with Jack and he made a secret call.
He told the person on the other end of the line to meet him at night.
Kheerat later headed to the office at the dead of night where the mystery person he was meeting was exposed Ian's son, Peter.
Suki's son said that the two men remain one another's alibis.
But what has exactly gone on between the new dynamic duo?
EastEnders continues on BBC One on Monday at 8.05pm
