EastEnders Lacey Turners secretly famous sisters both found fame in soaps
EastEnders star Lacey Turner has played gobby Stacey Slater on-and-off for almost 18 years.
The 33-year-old actress, who recently gave birth to her second child, has become a legend in Soapland but it appears that her real-life siblings have also had a taste of small screen success.
Lacey has not one but two younger sisters who have followed in her footsteps and gone on to appear in soap operas.
Daisy Turner and Lily Harvey made their television debuts back in 2010, around the same time Lacey made her her EastEnders departure.
Lily, who uses her mother's last name for acting work, was just nine years old when she joined the cast of EastEnders.
The actress played Shenice Quinn, the daughter of Kat Slater's (Jessie Wallace) pal Martine for just over a year.
She guest starred on EastEnders until August 2011 – when she was asked to join the cast full-time, before finally stepping away in 2012.
Executive Producer at the time Bryan Kirkwood didn't know that Lily was related to Lacey when he hired her.
He said at the time: "Whether by accident or design I sat down and watched a tape of a very talented young girl.
"And it was only after we decided that I was told it was Lacey's sister. So it was complete accident."
Lily is now 21 and doesn’t appear to be acting anymore.
Lacey's sister Daisy was 20 when she joined the cast of rival soap Hollyoaks back in 2011.
The blonde beauty played Jenny Houston in the Channel 4 serial drama.
Her time on the show was short-lived as Jenny was killed by Silas Blissett as part of a long-running storyline.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo during her Hollyoaks days, Daisy said: " Lacey and I acted as kids. Our mum, Bev, let us do everything – singing, dancing and acting.
“I was at home with my mum and sisters when I got the call to say I’d got the part. Lacey said if I need her, she is there.
"I suppose there is a bit of pressure because she is very good at what she does.
"She has done it for years and I am just starting out."
Daisy, now 30, hasn't appeared in many programmes since her stint in Hollyoaks, but she did go on to appear in a short film named You Got The Time?
Pregnant Lacey is currently expecting her second child with husband Matt Kay within weeks.
The soap star, who welcomed her first child with husband Matt Kay in July 2019, is expecting their baby in February.
Lacey and Matt are already parents to a little girl named Dusty.
EastEnders continues on BBC One on Tuesday at 9.05pm
