EastEnders' Max Bowden supported by soap crew as he 'isn't doing great' after three friends tragically died

EASTENDERS' Max Bowden is being supported by the BBC soap's crew as he "isn't doing great" after three friends tragically passed away.

The 26-year-old star has endured a difficult few months, and is understandably struggling following the bereavements.

Taking to his Instagram Story last night, the Ben Mitchell actor shared a photo of a handwritten note he'd received, captioning it: "I work with some amazing people".

The sweet message read: "Hey Max, just wanted to say we know you're not great at the moment, but we are always here if you need a rant or a cry.

"Keep doing your best because we think you're great."

It was signed from Annie, Inca, Becky, and Meg from EastEnders' costume department.

Hours later, Max revealed he'd found the sweet gift his late best pal Maxwell Thompson had given him to ask him to be his best man at his wedding next year.

It read: "We've always come as a three, how can you not be standing up there with us?! Will you be one of my best men?"

The wedding date is listed as April 15, 2022.

Max shared a heartbreak emoji and wrote: "Wasn't ready to find this today."

The star revealed that Maxwell had passed away in September, with the pair long-time best friends and Max regarding him as "family".

Max previously shared his pain after  friend Luke Goodings died in June and his agent pal Terry Mills passed away back in February.

Paying tribute to Maxwell, Max wrote: "Thank you for being my best friend for 15 years, for walking every avenue with me, entering into battle with me every time, lighting up my every minute of every day, and for loving me like you did.

"I will never have a better friend, and I will never love a man so much in my life.

"You were my soulmate, my rock, my ride or die, my everything – and I am so grateful that I got to call you my best friend. I am so so lucky."

He then went on to say that "the hole in my life you have left will never ever be filled" and "it was a privilege" to have Maxwell in his life.
