EastEnders releases new flashforward clip as fans work out who is killed

EastEnders fans think they have figured out who is killed in this year's special Christmas episode after a new flashforward clip on Tuesday.

Earlier this year, in a BBC One soap first, fans were shown a 2023 flashforward scene of six of Walford’s much loved matriarchs, Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal) faced with a dead body

In the moments that unfolded at the Queen Vic, the group of women all stood round in shock in a festive-looking pub and looked down at a man lying on the floor.

Not much was said between the six of them, but Stacey was covered in blood, Denise was holding a smashed bottle of Champagne and Sharon wore a bloodied wedding dress as she leant over the body, confirming the person was dead.

However, it’s unclear whose body it is and what’s happened to them…

But this hasn't stopped soap watchers from speculating who it could be after a new clip and clue was released on Tuesday.

During the latest episode, Denise finally plucked up the courage to admit the truth about her Ravi Gulati affair to her husband Jack Branning – and his own family.

And after the scenes aired, EastEnders took to its official Instagram account to release a new haunting teaser clip titled: "For Whom The Bell Tolls… #EastEnders #Denise #TheSix."


In the clip, it sees Denise, who is wearing the same green dress as the first flashforward, drinking a cocktail as she sits alone in the Queen Vic.

With bells ringing in the background, Denise stares menacingly before smashing her cocktail glass on the floor.

It then shows a quick montage of all of "the six" characters involved, ending with the words: "In a flash, everything changes…"


And fans are now convinced that Ravi could be the mystery dead person as they spotted extra clues during Tuesday's episode.

One person said: "I have a new theory that it’s Ravi… he was wearing a green tie last night, same shade as the suit worn by the dead body. Denise’s ‘D’ necklace was very obviously on show as well. When Ravi punched Jack in the head I saw some cuffs on his wrists too…"

A different fan put: "So we all think that it's Ravi's body on Xmas?"

While another viewer added: "It's Ravi killed by Denise."
