EastEnders viewers heartbroken as Mick fails to call Frankie his daughter
EastEnders fans were left devasted during Tuesday's visit to Albert Square as Mick Cater (Danny Dyer) found it difficult to refer to Frankie Lewis (Rose Ayling-Ellis) as his daughter.
The two of them have been spending more time together recently but its clear that Katy Lewis (Simone Lahbib) is still getting in the way of their relationship.
Mick gave Frankie the classic dad talk about cars and the pair seemed to be getting on great until they were interrupted by a phone call.
Frankie had a look, and when Mick learnt it was his ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor), he told Frankie to hang up.
She hunted for information thnking that ISVA was the gentleman’s surname, and when Mick made a comment that Frankie sounded like her mum Katy, she got angry.
The father and daughter duo quickly made up when they got back inside the Queen Vic pub but Frankie was interrupted by two people who turned out to be her old classmates.
Alana made horrible comments towards Frankie about her mum, after reading about the sex abuser in the newspaper.
The bully even made comments to Mick that he shouldn’t let Frankie near his children.
An uncomfortable Mick defended Frankie, telling Alana and her mate to leave, but he left Frankie devastated when he told them he wouldn’t allow customers to harass his staff.
Viewers rushed to their keyboards to discuss the moment Mick referred to Frankie as his employee.
Taking to Twitter, one fan of the long-running BBC One soap opera penned: "Poor Frankie and Mick, they both need therapy."
Another added: "Can't believe Mick failed to acknowledge Frankie as his daughter
A third person posted: "Mick should of called Frankie his daughter then. Perhaps he's not ready to do it in public yet. I hope he's not ashamed."

Frankie later confronted Mick and was left heartbroken when she realised he couldn’t even say she is his daughter away from everyone else.
Will Mick ever be comfortable with telling people that Frankie is his daughter?
