Emmerdale hints at return from the dead after being killed off four years ago

Emmerdale: Dan Spencer receives a call from Kerry Wyatt

Emmerdale might be welcoming a character back from the dead if one actor’s theory is believed.

Frank Clayton could head back to the Yorkshire Dales four years after his exit in a shock twist.

Michael Praed, who portrayed Frank, has teased the character may have faked his own death like Kim Tate (played by Claire King) once did.

“It wouldn’t be a huge leap to have scheming Frank fake his own death,” the actor shared.

“He could’ve cooked up a fantastic scam with his daughter Tracy to claim millions in life insurance. That could happen,” he told What’s On TV magazine.

Frank met his end in 2019 when he tried to save his daughter from a burning factory after Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) and Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) accidentally set the building alight.

The comeback would suit Frank’s character as he was once in prison for fraud.

When he was in Emmerdale, he scammed its villagers by teaming up with Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) to steal diamonds from Home Farm.

Tracy is now back in the village and Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) is set to return, so could it be time for Frank to come back from the dead?

Michelle told Metro.co.uk earlier this year: “I’m definitely going back! I’ve not got a date as such, it’ll be later in the year at some point, but definitely I’ll be back!”

Charity actress Emma has opened up about being part of the explosive week for Emmerdale.

The soap star told Digital Spy: “I’m very excited! Some Super Soap Weeks I don’t manage to be part of, which is just the way it goes.

“So to be at the centre and for it to be quite a big storm brewing – not literally a storm, we’ve done that!”

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
