Emmerdale spoiler sees The Woolpack boarded up after huge Christmas blaze
Emmerdale viewers are set to be on the edge of their seats this Christmas as it appears a huge blaze rips through The Woolpack over the festive season.
Now, first-look images of the aftermath have been revealed, showing the iconic pub boarded up and closed for business following the devastating fire.
The pictures from the ITV set capture The Woolpack in a sorry state, with smoke stains on the front of the building, as well as a skip filled with lots of shrapnel.
And it’s clear the pub is not open to punters, with all of the windows boarded up and railings surrounding the building to stop anyone from coming in and out.
While news of the fire has been rumoured for a few weeks, Emmerdale cast and crew are remaining tight-lipped about the top secret storylines.
It’s also yet to be revealed how the blaze will start and whether it is an accident, or could be something more sinister.
The latest explosive storyline comes after The Woolpack owners Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) have continued to struggle with the pub’s finances.
After months of trying to get their business back in the green, the Dingle pair eventually let Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) invest.
But the duo recently discovered that Al had alternative plans – to turn The Woolpack site into a brand new block of luxury flats.
Chas told Al under no uncertain terms that he would not be getting his hands on their family business under any circumstances. However, he responded that they will come running back to him when they need the money.

The new pictures come after Emmerdale teased what is to come on Christmas Day and beyond for businessman Al.
Soap bosses teased: “It’s the season of goodwill, but the underhanded Al Chapman goes sparing on dishing out any joy, particularly when he is feeling under so much pressure.”
They continued: “Will Al find a solution for his financial problems or could his world collapse?”
Elsewhere, it sounds like a lot of the residents will be similarly down in the dumps, as the Christmas teaser continued to hint at family problems and murderer terrifying Meena’s reign of terror.
“Christmas Day at the Dingles is usually a happy family celebration but recently divisions have formed in this clan. With Sam Dingle (James Hooton) desperate to make things better, can he reunite them at this time?”
‘The sense of a threat from within the Village still looms large, but it is now Dawn (Olivia Bromley) who needs to watch her back? But could there be other villagers in danger before the week is over?”
