Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) made her return to Emmerdale a few weeks ago, working as a cleaner at Chloe Harris’ (Jessie Elland) mansion. However, Kerry has realised Chloe’s father is a dangerous man who has been watching her every move and she now wants to flee the village with Chloe and her daughter Amy (Natalie Ann Jamieson) to get away from him. However, could Amy find herself in grave danger if she refuses to escape with Kerry and Chloe?
A terrified Kerry was confronted by two thugs on a country road earlier this week on the ITV soap.
She was threatened and told that if Chloe and Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) were not found Amy would be harmed.
So Kerry got Noah’s mum Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) to help her track the teenage lovers down.
Petrified of what Chloe’s lawless father and his henchmen may do, Kerry asked Amy during Friday’s instalment of Emmerdale if she’d leave the village with her and Chloe.
Kerry visited Amy who explained that someone broke in and “smashed up” her home the previous night.
A concerned Amy said: “Mum, what’s going on? Talk to us! Is this something to do with Charity and Mackenzie?”
Kerry replied: “No no, Charity just let me crash at hers and Mackenzie’s just flogging us his company car so I can get as far away from here as possible.”
A shocked Amy scoffed at Kerry and said: “What? You’re leaving again?”
Amy asked her mum whether she was going to prison as she couldn’t understand why she wanted to leave Emmerdale suddenly.
Kerry explained: “I’m not, but my boss went down for a stretch so I am getting out while I can for good.”
“Oh, what have you got yourself mixed up in now?” Amy asked.
Kerry insisted she hadn’t gotten into anything criminal and told Amy her job as a housekeeper was legitimate, but Amy was not convinced.
Amy snapped: “Are you trying to tell me your boss trashed my house?”
“Put it this way it turns out he’s not a very nice man,” Kerry explained.
She then warned Amy to get her passport and anything else she needed so they could run away from the village as soon as possible.
“You’re my daughter and when they find out I’ve gone, they’ll come to find you and they’ll hurt you,” Kerry explained.
Later on in the episode, Amy was left shaken after the thugs linked to Chloe’s dad tried to run her over.
Kerry gave Amy one more chance to join her and Chloe to get away from her “controlling” dad, but Amy was adamant she wanted to stay put with her son Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn).
If Chloe’s dad realises Kerry’s left Emmerdale with his daughter, will he track Amy down and hold her hostage?
Emmerdale continues weeknights on ITV at 7pm.
