Emmerdale wedding for beloved couple as star drops exciting hint

Emmerdale: Billy makes a confession to Charles

It’s not been a plain sailing relationship for Emmerdale vicar Charles Anderson (played by Kavin Mathurin) and Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) after she jilted him at the altar on their wedding day. After working hard to get back on track the soap couple seem to be in a good place, which means a wedding do-over could be on the cards.

There’s a lot of wedding fever happening in Emmerdale at the moment as ITV viewers have seen two couples take the next step in their relationship.

Not only have Gabby Thomas (played by Rosie Bentham) and Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope) recently gotten engaged, but fans are preparing to see Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Charity Dingle’s (Emma Atkins) nuptials.

With love in the air, it seems as though actors in the long-running soap are looking at the prospect of their own characters tying the knot.

Two of which include Jurrell Carter, who plays Nate Robinson and Kevin Mathurin, who plays Charles Anderson.

Speaking about the future of his character, Jurrell confessed: “I’d like Nate to get married.

“I just don’t know if he’s ever going to find someone to settle down with, because he always messes it up.

“He’s running out of women in the village! I think he went through about four in the space of his first month in Emmerdale,” he told Inside Soap

However, it looks as though there could be love on the horizon for Nate as the actor hinted viewers could see a new storyline develop in the near future.

Carter added: “There’s always a new affair or relationship, so you never know what’s around the corner.”

Although It looks as though it’s not just Carter who wants his character to have their own Emmerdale wedding as star Kevin admitted he’d like to see the same.

Stating he enjoys the relationship his character Charles Anderson and Manpreet Sharma have, the actor teased that a wedding could happen, although with a soap-style dramatic twist.

He said: “As a vicar, that would be the right thing to do.

“But what would be a great storyline would be if Charles and Manpreet came full circle and he stood her up at the altar this time.”

With Kevin’s character being the vicar in the village, the upcoming one in the soap will mark the fifth that he’s had to ordain.

Although the soap star revealed it’s not the wedding ceremonies he gets nervous about while filming, but the funerals.

Kevin continued: “The sermons are so hard to learn, it’s like Shakespeare because it’s written in old language.”
