Gemma Collins has revealed the real reason she signed up for the celebrity edition of The Great British Bake Off for Stand Up 2 Cancer.

During Sunday’s instalment (March 26) of the baking competition, judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith welcomed AJ Odudu, Gemma Collins, Jessica Hynes and Tim Key to the iconic white tent.

This week, the quartet were tasked with making sandwich cakes, classic tarts and baking their earliest memories out of choux pastry.

And it didn’t take long before things took a turn for the worse, as the former TOWIE star cheekily stumbling her way through the recipes.

But her care-free manor soon came back to bite her, after her delicious treat failed to wow the judges as she presented raw pastry to the judges.

After receiving a stern grilling from the professional bakers, Gemma candidly confessed the real reason she signed up for the show was to meet silver fox Paul.

When Noel walked over to see if he could offer a lending hand to the infamous diva, he warned: "Don't look now, but there's a man at the end of your bench. Have a little look."

She replied: "I know, I can feel him. It's going to throw me off my cooking, it's going to ruin my cream."

It was at this point that Gemma gushed over the hunky chef, confessing: "He's something else isn't he? It's the only reason I did the show, no offence."
