GMB’s Ranvir Singh hits back at Adil Ray over Covid vaccine volunteer confusion

Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh was mocked by her co-star Adil Ray during Wednesday's edition of the ITV breakfast show.

The dynamic duo chatted about whether they had been given the jab in accordance with whether they came under the top priority groups.

As he is over the age of 45, Adil told his ITV co-star he had received this first vaccine but when Ranvir, 43, said she hadn’t, the comedian teased the former Strictly Come Dancing star by suggeting she volunteered at her GP practice to get one.

Adil told viewers watching at home: "It’s so funny. These two [Ranvir and Sean Fletcher] are trying to figure out how to get a vaccine.

“You could volunteer. People have volunteered,” he continued to tell Ranvir, who replied: “Volunteered for what?”

Looking at his co-star with confusion, Adil then went on to mock Ranvir.

"'Volunteer? What, you don’t get paid? Why would anyone volunteer?'" Adil jibed as Ranvir tried to defend herself.

"'What about the money? Can I dance? Will I win a competition? Will I get to present Lorraine?'” he continued.

Ranvir hit back: "I didn’t mean it like that," as she looked uncomfortable with Adil mocking her over the vaccine.

Returning to the conversation, Adil explained: "You volunteer for the programme and some of them have been given the vaccine."

“Oh, yes. I see what you mean now," Ranvir replied and it wasn’t long before Sean, 46, jumped to her defence.

He said: "I love how smug you look (Adil) because you’ve had your vaccine. Look at him. 'I’m alright Jack'.

"I’m lucky but you will all get one eventually," Adil told his colleagues.

Elsewhere in the show, Adil and Ranvir shared some photographs from popular Facebook group, Rate My Plate.

Along with Richard Arnold and weather presenter Laura Tobin, the duo criticised one person who shared a photo of their English fry up drenched in gravy.

They were also horrified by one person's choice to eat a homemade curry with a large dollop of salad cream, as Adil urged viewers to enjoy curry with yoghurt instead.

Another snap showed a rather disgusting snack of one person's beef sandwich complete with one half of the chocolate bar Twix.

Mother of one Ranvir then bragged about her homemade breakfast frittatas, which she makes using onion and tomatoes.

Teasing Ranvir once again live on air, Adil joked: "You’ve changed! Ever since you did Strictly, you’ve changed!"
