I'm A Celebrity hit by sickness as star is bed-ridden and forced out of doing trial

I'M A Celebrity was hit with sickness in camp as Simon Gregson was forced out of doing a group trial.

Stars took part in a trivia quiz to win a night at the pub as they head towards the final.

But viewers noticed Simon was missing from the line-up.

As campmates returned back to the Castle, the Coronation Street star was laid up in bed.

He explained in the Bush Telegraph: "I was a bit dodgy in the guts this afternoon."

Hinting that he'd spent most of day in the toilet at Gwrych Castle in Abergele, Simon said: "We need some potpourri."

Simon's tummy problems come after his Bushtucker trial yesterday, which saw him stick his head into a foul barrel of fermented eggnog.

Viewers were in hysterics as Ant and Dec bungled the trial by leaving Simon looking for a star that wasn't there.

The hosts, both 46, watched on as he kept scrabbling around in a barrel not realising he had already finished the task.

Simon has retrieved the star – but neither the hosts not the producers had cottoned on.

Dec Donnelly told the Coronation Street actor: "Come on Si, don't give up now. Back in the eggnog Si."

After plunging his face back into the gunge, he told the pair: "I've already got one out of here you know?"

Ant roared: "Ah, have you? Well why didn't you tell us?"

Simon raged, gesturing around him and all the recording equipment: "You've got cameras."

He then submerged his face back into the foul brew leaving Dec insisting: "Simon stop. You've only got one."

The hosts later tried to blame the Steve McDonald actor saying: "You never said I've got the star."

Suggesting it would have been impossible with his mouth in the gunge, he hit back: "How?"
