After thousands queued to receive their vaccine at Twickenham on Bank Holiday Monday, Nick Hewer and Dominique Samuels debated whether or not they would ditch friends who refused the Covid vaccine. Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Ms Samuels insisted it was up to each individual whether they were vaccinated while Mr Hewer urged everyone to unite against the “common enemy” coronavirus.

As Ms Samuels claimed it was unfair to ditch a friend simply because they did not have the vaccine, Mr Hewer fumed over her “dramatic” comments.

He stated: “Everyone is being rather dramatic about friendships being ruined. We are all sensible, we need to have a general care.

“During the war everyone got together to face a common enemy. We are poised on the very edge of a third wave.”

The former Countdown host continued: “Just be persuaded to do the right thing for the common good. We have lost 127,000 to this dreadful thing.

“We need to reduce that back to zero. Think about others!”
