Invincible is an adult superhero series that is due to arrive on Amazon Prime Video this week. The series was inspired by the comic books by Robert Kirkman, and it is due to feature The Walking Dead actor, Steven Yeun. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about when the series will be arriving.

When is Invincible out?

Invincible follows the story of Mark Grayson (played by Steven Yeun), a teenager whose father Nolan (J.K Simmons) is a powerful superhero.

After turning 17, Mark starts to develop powers of his own and he gains insight into his father’s alternate world.

The series will air weekly over the course of eight hour-long episodes, and it stars The Walking Dead’s Kirkman as executive producer.

The first three episodes will air on Friday, March 26, with the other episodes airing at the same time on Fridays thereafter.

The series is airing exclusively on Prime Video, so fans will need to have registered for an account to access the episodes.

In the UK, a monthly subscription costs £7.99 per month, and there is an annual subscription for £79.

For fans in the US, they can access the same monthly deal for $8.99 per month.

The streaming platform has just started its journey exploring science fiction and fantasy series.

The series is described as suspenseful and full of action, yet it builds upon poignant and heartwarming moments.

Fans in more than 200 countries will have access to the adult animation when it is released.

The comic book series came to an end in February 2018 and it lasted for an incredible 15 years.

A feature-length film based on the comics is also in the making, meaning this will be a huge success story for Kirkman.

Speaking to Deadline at the time of the series announcement, Kirkman said: “I couldn’t be more proud of the series Cory Walker, Ryan Ottley and I did together for over 15 years.

“To know our characters will live on in multiple iterations in other media is almost too exciting to bear!

“What Amazon is allowing us to do in animated form is nothing short of ground-breaking, and I can’t wait for our rabid fan base to experience it!”
