How much is Kaleb Cooper paid?
Clarkson’s Farm is a hilarious documentary series following The Grand Tour star Clarkson as he takes over the running of his farm.
He acquired the 1,000-acre farm in Chipping Norton in 2008 and decided to manage the land himself after the previous farmer retired.
Kaleb was working on the farm before Clarkson took over, and he knows the fields like the back of his hand.
He quickly became a fan-favourite when it was made clear he would not let Clarkson get away with any wrongdoing.
Kaleb was often seen swearing and telling the former Top Gear star off for messing up.
The 22-year-old was given a promotion to manager of the farm when Clarkson took over, and it comes with a lot of responsibility.
Land agent Charlie Ireland went through Clarkson’s incomings and outgoings at the end of the series, and they covered salaries.
Although Kaleb’s exact salary was not mentioned, it, amongst other costs, left Clarkson with a £144 profit.
According to checkasalary.co.uk, the average farm contractor salary in the UK is £25,432.
For Kaleb’s age group, he could be earning closer to £30,000 a year for his work.
He also has a number of other jobs on the side, including farm manager and farming contractor.
He must have also made some money for taking part in the series, so he is definitely doing well for himself.
With his other roles included, he could be earning up to £50,000 a year according to Yorkshire Live.
Clarkson has always been in awe of Kaleb and says he is very mature and intellectual for his age.
He said: “He’ll drive up and down through the night, putting the right fertiliser on and taking pride in watching a healthy field take root.
“He’s also extremely good on television. I have to remind myself he’s only 22, because I see him as a contemporary.
“He dresses like a 60-year-old, and he’s the least woke person I’ve ever met – he tells me I’ve f***** up on an hourly basis.
“His wife gave birth to a baby boy in March and I’m really glad because it was a day off from being shouted at for me.”
Kaleb is married and he and his partner have a son together called Oscar.
Fans are hoping the young star returns for a second outing of Clarkson’s Farm in the near future.
Kaleb said in an interview with BBC Radio Oxford that he saw Clarkson as a friend and boss, rather than a TV star.
The pair have a unique relationship and they have great banter with each other throughout the series.
One of Kaleb’s signature lines was telling Jeremy his tram lines were “as straight as a roundabout”, and he was not impressed.
He also made his opinions on Clarkson’s new sheep very clear, saying they were a waste of time and money.
He joked that Clarkson should return to London at the end of the year, but the Grand Tour star had fallen in love with the countryside.
