Windsor Castle: Atmosphere as guests arrive for coronation concert
Coronation Concert host Hugh Bonneville couldn’t resist cracking a joke about King Charles III during the spectacle at Windsor Castle.
The Downton Abbey actor was fronting the King’s Coronation Concert on Sunday night which 20,000 people attended and millions tuned into around the world.
Between performances, Hugh said: “Doesn’t it look nice? It’s all thanks to His Majesty who was weeding at 7am this morning.
“We are of course delighted and honoured to be joined by King Charles III whose lifelong passion for the arts we will be celebrating throughout the show.
“He himself is a painter, an artist, the artist formerly known as Prince.”
