Little Mix and Rylan Clark-Neal sign up to Celebrity Gogglebox
Little Mix and Rylan Clark-Neal are putting their feet up on the sofa for a chill sesh and a night of telly as the stars of the next series of Celebrity Gogglebox.
The Channel 4 favourite show has brought on board the pop group icons and the This Morning presenter as some of the new faces to hand over their judgement on this week’s TV.
While Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson and Perrie Edwards will get together for a girls’ night, Rylan will be joined by his beloved mum Linda.
Other stars of the upcoming episodes include Strictly star Oti Mabuse and her sisters Motsi and Phemelo, acting legend Sheila Hancock will hang out with Gyles Brandreth, and Nick Grimshaw with his niece, Liv.
They all join the host of celebrity names and faces who have all rocked up for a day on the settee with their pals in the name of Stand Up To Cancer.
One Direction’s Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson reunited for the last series to emotionally discuss how cancer has affected them, while Danny and Dani dyer had a daddy/daughter evening for the show.
The latest series of Gogglebox ended with a whimper last month when the regular gang of professional sofa-sitters were left more than a little bewildered over the Game Of Thrones finale.
While Jenny and Lee shone a torch on the situation (literally) so they could figure out what was going on, the Malone family were quick to debate what had just happened while others labelled it a ‘s***e’ and ‘an anti-climax’.
Giles and Mary were, as always, pretty casual about the whole thing, with Giles looking on the bright side of who won the Iron Throne as he said: ‘Terrific boost for the disabled lobby, Nutty!’
The show, which is based on the authentic portrayal of families reactions to the weeks’ television, has come under fire and accused of faking scenes for the sake of entertainment.
Both bosses and the show guests have consistently denied this.
Celebrity Gogglebox returns on 14 June on Channel 4.
