Lorraine Kelly heartbroken as elderly mum is rushed to hospital | The Sun
LORRAINE Kelly rushed to hospital to be by her elderly mum's bedside, it has been revealed.
The TV presenter told fans her 81-year-old mother Anne has been admitted into University Hospital Monklands, in Lanarkshire, Scotland.
It comes after an earlier stint in hospital for Anne who was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome in February, a condition that stops the kidneys functioning properly.
Lorraine wrote on Twitter last night: "Having spent a lot of time over the past few days with my mum in @UHMonklands hospital I’ve seen again just how kind, caring, hard working, funny and downright fabulous our NHS workers are.
"'Thank you' doesn’t begin to cover it."
She did not go into further detail about her mum's condition, but fans were quick to send their well-wishes.
One fan said: "Sending you lots of love and hugs xx."
Another added: "Sending best wishes."
Someone else added: "Sending healing thoughts about you and your mum. God bless you all."
The presenter replied saying thank you to one fan who wrote: "Hope your mum's ok sending love."

Lorraine is currently on her summer break from hosting ITV's Lorraine.
The programme has been cancelled this week to make way for FIFA Women's World Cup 2023.
The Scottish presenter, 63, moved to London to live close to work, while her glamorous mum still lives in East Kilbride, where Lorraine grew up.
