Louise Minchin cant wait for 9am alarms as BBC Breakfast exit date approaches
BBC Breakfast's Louise Minchin admitted she can't wait for a lie in and 9am alarms, after she confessed she had problems from drinking too much coffee.
Co-host Dan Walker, 44, read a story from the newspaper about how many Brits love coffee more than tea, and said he isn't a caffeine fan: "This is not of particular interest to me as I'm not a coffee drinker" he shrugged.
Louise, 52, shook her head as she marvelled: "That's forever been a confusion to me, I must admit."
"I've told you a million times that you're missing out!" she exclaimed in disbelief.
"I'm on a natural high anyway already, I don't need coffee," joked Dan.
Addressing Louise's departure, he asked: "You have your espresso coffee right now just before six o'clock, what is going to be your coffee regime now?"
"It won't happen! Or it'll be delayed by about three hours" laughed famously active Louise, who is a keen cyclist, swimmer and runner.
"I only have one coffee a day now because I did learn after I started drinking too many and it made me a bit jittery" explained Louise.
"So it's just the one a day, that's all I'm allowed," she admitted.
Dan laughed: "Well you for one a day, I'll go for none a day!"
Louise confirmed "It'll be at nine o'clock as of two weeks time."
"I'm very much looking forward to the nine o'clock alarm."
The star has been presenting BBC Breakfast for nearly twenty years, and has set many early alarms over the last two decades.
She recently confirmed her final show will be on the 15th September, and revealed she is printing off some of her favourite messages from fans to help through any "dark times" ahead.
