Love Island fans slam Shaq for gossiping and blame him for Tanyel leaving

Love Island fans laid into Shaq Mohammad after accusing him of acting like a gossip on Thursday's (February 9) episode.

Shaq, 24, chatted with several of the show's other male contestants about Ron Hall after Tanyel Revan was booted out of the villa.

Ron and Tanyel had been in a friendship couple but he then rekindled his romance with Lana Jenkins.

Viewers objected to Shaq's comments though after he had also spoken about Tanyel's chances with Jordan on the previous night's show.

One viewer fumed on Twitter: "Everyone is sick of Shaq, what is he doing to the boys behind the scenes."

A second quipped: "Shaq is auditioning to be the next Trisha Goddard. Everyday hosting conversations."

A third argued: "Because of you Shaq, Tanyel went home because of you," whilst a fourth declared: "Shaq & Tanya need to leave, they add no value just gossip."

Another fan, meanwhile, wrote: "Shaq thinks he's the spokesman for the boys and he's not."

In Wednesday's (February 8) episode, show "gossip" Shaq commented on how he felt that Tanyel was not attracted to Jordan, even though the pair had been sharing flirty banter.

He canvassed Olivia Hawkins for her opinion during a chat by the fire pit and she also agreed that she felt there was "nothing there".

Shaq took things a step further, meanwhile, when he ventured that Tanyel might be "using" Jordan.

It was an accusation that Olivia was quick to distance herself from when she replied: "You said it, not me."

And many of those watching at home thought Shaq had stepped out of line.

One viewer reasoned: "Shaq needs a 1:1 on minding his business."

Another declared: "Shaq needs to focus on his own relationship," whilst a third simply wrote: "Shaq… there's no need for this."

Olivia didn't escape the criticism either with one fan of the show demanding: "I'm sorry but who gave Shaq and Olivia the confidence to analyse people like that?" While another asked: "Why is Shaq teaming up with Olivia?"
