Love Island’s Ollie Williams breaks silence as he quits villa after three days

Love Island star Ollie Williams has quit the ITV2 villa after just three days, citing his reason for being in love with someone else.

A Love Island spokesperson said: "Ollie has made the decision to leave the Love Island villa."

In the Beach Hut, Ollie says: "I have to be honest with myself, and everyone, that I do still love someone else…

"I have to follow my heart in this scenario and it would be wrong for me to ignore these feelings.

"At the end of the day, this is Love Island and it's about finding love."

He went on: "If I carried on anything with Paige, or any other girl that might come into the villa, it wouldn't be fair on them."

The 23-year-old had been coupled up with singer Paige Turley, 22, meaning she will now be single – just like Leanne Amaning, 22, and Shaughna Phillips, 25.

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding Ollie after it was revealed that he hosts shooting parties and has taken part in trophy hunts.

Photos emerged of the fledgling reality star posing with wild beasts that had been shot, leading to outrage from fans and famous faces.

A petition on titled "Remove Ollie Williams from Winter Love Island for Trophy Hunting!" currently has more than 38,000 signatures.

It was supported by wildlife TV presenter and conservationist Chris Packham, who shared a link to the petition.
