Love Islands Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins address huge step in relationship

Love Island: Lana explains her recoupling decision to Ron

The Love Island finalists have opened up about their personal property goals after their time on the dating series.

Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins finished behind Sanam Harrinanan and Kai Fagan on the ITV2 show earlier this year.

They have been enjoying spending time with each other back at home in the UK since leaving South Africa.

The couple have been meeting each other’s friends and learning about their hometowns.

While they appear to be going from strength to strength, they are not ready to move in together just yet.

“We’ve only had about four or five days apart [since we left Love Island] but I think we’re just taking it slow,” Lana told The Mirror at the Pride of Manchester Awards on Wednesday night.

“We each want to buy a house by ourselves first and then we can share houses,” she added.

Ron said: “I think we’ll do it like a normal couple. We’ll each have our own space and our own bases and then move in together when it’s that natural development.”

When asked where they could see themselves living if they ever decided to buy a home together, Lana said Manchester would be her preferred location.

Lana and Ron were one of the original couples on this year’s Winter Love Island which was hosted by Maya Jama instead of Laura Whitmore.

Lana opened up to earlier this year about her expectations for the reality series.

The Luton-born islander said her “typical type” was a tall man, who is good at conversation and “shines in a room”.

The make-up artist, who speaks fluent Spanish, added: “If I can find someone else who can speak fluent Spanish that would be great as we can do code together.”

While Ron didn’t speak any Spanish, the pair certainly hit it off and viewers loved them for it.

Love Island episodes are available to watch on ITVX and ITV.
