Meena declares war on Victoria over David in Emmerdale

Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) was not pleased in Emmerdale, after discovering that David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) had dumped her for Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins).

The soap’s resident serial killer was desperate to find out where David was, given that he hadn’t been to see her since the fire at the maze.

But first thing was first: realising that Priya Kotecha’s (Fiona Wade) account of what transpired during the blaze could cast doubt on her version of events, she decided to take action.

By action, we mean, she decided to kill Priya!

Taking a pair of gloves from the trolley nearby, Meena prepared to commit murder once more, but a nurse popped in to see how Priya was doing, and kindly asked Meena to leave.

Meena’s attention soon turned to David, and – having put two and two together – she searched the hospital for Victoria, knowing full well that her beau would be with her.

What she didn’t expect to find out, however, was that Victoria had been discharged and taken home by her ‘husband.’

Meena entered the empty hospital room to find a Get Well Soon card on the floor from David to Vic, with a message inside.

It read: ‘Everything changes from right now. I can’t wait any longer for us to be together – a proper family. I love you, Victoria Sugden. David xxx’

Consumed with rage, Meena ranted to Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) about how she thought David and her would ‘grow old together’, before revealing that she did, in fact, suspect something was going on between David and Victoria.

Manpreet told Meena to calm down, and encouraged her to focus on her recovery. But after her sister left, Meena wasted little time in resorting to threats, leaving Victoria quite the sinister voicemail.

‘Hi Vic! It’s Meena. I hear David took you home. He’s a good egg. A real friend. You and Me? We could’ve been friends too. Like, proper mates. But now?

‘I know what’s going on! And you’re not going to have him! He’s not yours. You know, we’re all different things to people, depending on how they treat us.

‘What goes around comes around and all that. Best watch out for that. Because, trust me, karma can be a real bitch!’

Meena’s tone said it all.

The question is: just what does she have planned? And what’s more, how will Victoria react when she hears the voicemail?

Emmerdale continues Tuesday October 26 at 7pm on ITV.
