Nabil Abdulrashid wins last BGT semi-final after tackling racism in routine

Nabil Abdulrashid is the final Britain's Got Talent semi-final winner.

The comedian was crowned the winner of Saturday's (October 3) show after tackling racism in his stand-up routine.

Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Ashley Banjo all opted to put Nabil through.

David said: "This was the toughest it's ever been because all three of these acts deserve to be in the final.

"But I do feel a connection with this person because I feel like they took a lot of risks coming out here tonight and doing what they did.

"I think the can have a huge, huge future after this show. It's Nabil."

Alesha added: "Tonight by far has been the toughest, I just want you guys to know that. But the act that I would like to see in the final is Nabil."

While Ashley said: "Talented, creative, took risks, different – it applies to all of you. But there was one act that just connected with me and I think was super-relevant and that's Nabil."

As Nabil realised he had won, he shouted "South London," as he then added to hosts Ant and Dec: "It's not just for me man, there's a lot of people I represent."
