Netflix fans ‘can’t sleep’ after watching terrifying thriller saying ‘I’m scared to turn the lights off’ | The Sun

NETLFIX fans "can't sleep" and have been left "hiding under the covers" courtesy of a terrifying Korean thriller.

The freaky psychological flick, originally released in 2017, is now causing a stir among Netflix users.

The streaming service teases the plotline and states: "When his abducted brother returns seemingly a different man with no memory of the past 19 days, Jin-seok chases after the truth behind the kidnapping."

He is met with a series of flashbacks and a terrifying murder storyline which sees the protagonist travel into the future.

Jang Hang-jun's film has certainly sparked reaction on Twitter – with many claiming they are unable to sleep after watching the troubling plotline unfold.

One confessed: "Watched this thriller Forgotten on Netflix. It's been three days now but I'm still terrified. Every morning mamma asks why I sleep with the lights on! How do I tell her that three jumpscares from a film are scaring the s**t outta me and that's why I can't switch off the lights in my room."

Another put: "I'm watching Forgotten right now and I am FREAKED out. Like… terrified. I actually screamed and hid under my covers at some point."

A third commented: "It is on rare occasion that you come across great films. FORGOTTEN is no exception. The acting, production design, cinematography, musical score and the screenplay, this movie was worth every minute. 5 out of 5 stars. A MUST WATCH. Showing on Netflix."

Another surmised: "Watched Forgotten on Netflix and it was a really good movie!! Except for that one f**kface scene that scared the s**t outta me."

Earlier this week we reported how Netflix viewers were "losing their sanity" after watching a freaky adaptation of a Stephen King novella.
